He studied painting and sculpture at ASKT (1982-86 with teachers in their painting D. Mytaras and D. Kokkinidis and in sculpture Th. Panouria. In the period 1985-1986 he continued his studies at the Royal College of Fine Arts in London near R. He also studied stage design in Florence, and worked as a set designer for ERT from 1982 to 1988. For a time he was the artistic director of Stockholm-based Labor News magazine. In his painting he uses oils and acrylics, in his sculpture metals, polyester, welding; he has given works in series with titles such as Nostos Purgatorio.a. His painting moves in the atmosphere of a personal distortive expressionism, with more dramatic extensions. Without always sacrificing the visual reality, he creates sets that with both the distortions and the violence of the color present concerns and internal conflicts. In some cases a contact with F. Bacon’s painting and distorting elements is evident, especially in his early works, but he quickly passes into a personal expressionist idiom. In his most characteristic efforts, one emphasizes the diagonal composition, the accentuated character of the deformations and the role of color, which submits a world of dramatic conflicts. In large diptychs and triptychs he gives sets in which documentary and abstract elements collide and, starting from the human form, fragmentary and distorted, the space elliptical and deliberately indefinite, the colors source and almost aggressive, expresses something of the fears of our world.
